Do optical illusions lose their coolness if they are explained? Or do they become cooler or not change?
[This might actually relate to 5th period's psychology presentation in a few weeks]

Depends on what you mean by their coolness.
Sometimes they do, because they stop working and you lose any interest you first had in them.
Other times they don't.
If they're done well, they'll still at least look cool, even though you now know the illusion.
And if they don't stop working, because at first glance your mind doesn't remember it's an illusion, then they're still cool. Theoretically.
